In this month's issue:
1. Traffic Increase

Traffic has soared since we upgraded servers in July and stepped up our investment in search marketing: 2,100 unique visitors are reading 18,000 Staying in Wales web pages a week, producing 138,000 weekly hits.

2. Search Marketing Success

A Google search for ‘accommodation in Wales’ now finds the Staying in Wales main accommodation search page on the first Google listing page ahead of millions of others. Check it out at http://www.google.com and compare our subscription rates with others to see why we’ve gained a reputation for providing excellent value for money.

3. Booking Availability Links

4. Staying in Wales Keyphrase Search

All the searches at http://www.stayinginwales.com are important but the Keyphrase search has added merit by enabling searches by topic. Subscribers need to ensure their Microsites include reference to what’s available locally if they are to be listed under a search, say, for example ‘golf in Builth Wells’.

Please email keywordhelp@stayinginwales.com with your property name shown in the subject window if you would like us to do some quick keyword research on your Microsite.

5. See What’s Nearby (Beta)

6. Village & Town Mapping (Beta)

Maps showing the location of accommodation in and around many of Wales’ towns and villages down to street level is also new, with route planning and links back to subscribers’ Microsites.

Note: We anticipate this becoming one of the most popular searches for visitor accommodation on the worldwide web. Please keep your subscription up to date to benefit from this. All villages and towns in our database will be featured by the end of October.

7. Enter Your Location (Beta)

8. Village & Town Microsites

Microsites for villages and towns giving an overview of accommodation, attractions and events clustered in and around them are under development with links back to subscribers’ Microsites. Each village and town featured will have a Wales.info domain name for search marketing.

So what does the future hold? We’re working on it – please watch this space.

9. 2007 Subscription Renewals

We have held our basic rate of £45 +VAT per calendar year for over 4 years now and are offering the same rate for 2007 to current subscribers before increasing it to £60 +VAT. Please go to 2007 Subscriptions Renewals to take advantage of this offer. All we ask is that renewals are registered by 31st October 2006 so everything’s firmly in place by the New Year. Online payment with no transaction charge is also available to subscribers with a Paypal account (see below).

10. New Monthly Subscriptions Offer

Subscribers can now opt for secure easy monthly payments by Paypal (see next item), which can be cancelled anytime. No need to commit to a full year if budgets are tight or in the unlikely event of enquiries falling below expectation.

11. Subscriptions by Paypal

The future of the web is secure automatic payment transactions and no organisation is in a better position to provide these services than Paypal with over 100 million accounts holders worldwide, none of whom pay transaction charges. Many of our subscribers will already have a Paypal account so it’s logical to offer annual payments by this method with discounts reflecting admin cost savings, and easy monthly payments that can be cancelled anytime.

But that’s not all! Paypal will be be used by Staying in Wales to help market accommodation in Wales to Paypal account holders worldwide. All our subscribers will need is a Paypal account themselves. Please go to https://www.paypal.com to find out more and sign up free.
