Self Catering. Set in 4 acres of farmland Tyddyn Ddeugoed is a 17th century traditional stone cottage with original inglenook fireplace. Tastefully renovated to a high standard, including underfloor heating, oak floors throughout, a wood burner, two attractive and cosy bedrooms (one en suite) with king size beds and a fully fitted kitchen encorporating all amenities yet keeping a cottage atmosphere. The well laid out garden and barbeque area is private and sheltered having views over Anglesey, The Irish Sea and farmland. Tyddyn Ddeugoed was built shortly after 1648 to replace a building that had fallen down. Set in a natural amphitheatre it is easy to see why the site is thought to be one of the oldest in the area providing natural shelter for our ancesters. It is also said that, due to its secluded situation and not visible from the nearest lane, the Methodist preacher, John Wesley, used to hold illicit prayer meetings in the yard. The ideal retreat for a quiet break located on the edge of The Snowdonia National Park and within easy reach of the beaches of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsular.
