About our location: OLD CONWY
The ancient walled town of Conwy is a UN designated Heritage Site steeped in history and dominated by a 13th century castle and walls situated near the mouth of the Conwy River and surrounded by mountains and sea, Garreg Lwyd Cottage is the ideal base for exploring the beautiful and interesting area or for just relaxing in a comfortable home from home. SNOWDONIA NATIONAL PARK
Part of the Park is in Conwy County and is an area of outstanding natural beauty comprising 827 square miles of mountains lakes and has 37 miles of coastline. One can explore by car or train and there are spectacular walks in Snowdonia. The Park has 1,479 miles of public footpaths, 164 miles of public bridleways, and 46 miles of other public rights of way. A large part of the Park is also covered by Right to Roam laws. The Park's entire coastline is a Special Area of Conservation, which runs from the Llyn Peninsula down the mid-Wales coast, the latter containing valuable sand dune systems.
