Hidden in the beautiful Vale of Kerry sit The Forest Country Cottages and B&B; 3 splendid Victorian country cottages for self catering holidays and 5 star luxury B&B set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens and paddocks. The tranquil setting makes it the perfect place in which to relax and an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of Mid Wales including Powis Castle National Trust. Less than a mile away is Kerry village which has a pub restaurant and it is a 5 minute drive from Newtown. On the border of Powys and Shropshire, The Forest is an ideal hideaway for a relaxing break away from the rush and bustle. Each cottage can sleep 4-5 people and the 4 star Guest House has 5 luxury double rooms all en-suite and a guest lounge. WIFI internet is available and we have a games room and tennis court. The main gardens which everyone is welcome to enjoy were laid out over many decades by gardeners with a real passion for planting. Each cottage has its own garden. About our location:
In the gardens are ancient yew trees, colourful azaleas, rare acers, rhododendrons and a wonderful magnolia. You can sit in the garden and watch the abundant wildlife or take a stroll through our woodland by the pond. The property is in a peaceful Vale of Kerry in the The Marches on the border of Wales and Shropshire. There is a lot to see and do in this beautiful area including sports, scenic walks, castles and pretty villages and towns. The ancient market town of Newtown is located 3 miles away and there are wonderful walks nearby including the 15 mile Kerry Ridgeway, Offa's Dyke and Glyndwr's Way. Montgomery with its castle ruins and the medieval Powis Castle are close by and there are steam railways and canals too.
