Ty Mawr Wybrnant Penmachno, Betws-y-Coed, Conwy County Situated in the beautiful and secluded Wybrnant Valley, Työ Mawr was the birthplace of Bishop William Morgan (c.1541-1604), first translator of the entire Bible into Welsh. The house has been restored to its probable 16th-/17th-century appearance and includes a display of Welsh and other bibles and an exhibition room. A footpath leads from the house through woodland and the surrounding fields, which are traditionally managed.
