Tintern, Chepstow, Monmouthshire



Cistercian abbey, founded in 1131 in the beautiful Wye Valley. Remarkably complete abbey church rebuilt in the later 13th and early 14th centuries, with extensive remains of cloister and associated monastic buildings.
