New Developments
First North Wales Events & Attractions
Application has been made to Tourism Partnership North Wales for regional joint marketing funding to extend the current First North Wales Events campaign to cover 42 visitor attractions who are part of the Great Days Out marketing scheme. The application proposes the production of 100,000 Great Days Out leaflets and a 50,000 8-page Great Days Out Insight supplement in This Week in North Wales this autumn. The supplement aims to provide human interest thumbnail articles on each of the attractions. The extended campaign will also include the 33 Staying in Wales / Aros yng Nghymru hospitality businesses that have already benefited from 50,000 copies of This Week in North Wales published this year as part of the campaign. A new Staying in Wales consumer information brand has been introduced to maintain the marketing momentum achieved by Taste of Wales and to build on the scheme's success.
Destination Management System
This Week is an early adopter of the Wales DMS. 789 tourism businesses are now sharing their data with This Week via the DMS, adding critical mass to all This Week marketing activity. This Week's response has been the construction of this new ThisWeek.co.uk/b2b website, which will speed up time to market for This Week Partners and help bring them new business. The first sections of the new website to go live were the Campaigns, Products and Services pages to keep Partners fully up-to-date with developments.
Broadband
The development and spread of Broadband services throughout
the UK is of major importance to Wales tourism. ThisWeek.co.uk
